- The Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) licensing for Grand River Brewery at 1 E. 14 Mile and for Downtown Charlie’s at 28 S. Main are in process
- Unplug & Paint Resale, 126 E. 14 Mile, has closed for business. We wish Sandie Maynard all the best as she moves on to new experiences.
- The property owners of the Burger King site at 172 W. 14 Mile received a demolition permit and the building is down with site clean up underway. The owners are in process of determining new development for the site

Main Street
The Annual Main Event Awards Presentation for all Oakland County Main Street communities takes place at the Flagstar Strand Theater in Pontiac on May 4 from 6-9pm
Grant follow ups
- The E. 14 Mile HAWK signal grant is moving forward on schedule. AEW, the City Engineering firm, will be putting the project out to bid. This signal matches the pedestrian crossing signal at W. 14 Mile & Washington.
- Next week we should have a landscape plan for the pedestrian islands as part of a Sustainability Grant from Oakland County. The grant includes a landscaping plan for review and approval and also includes the plants and planting
